| I played in a $10 tourney couple weekends ago. About 300 players, NL game. I dont usually play the multi table tournies. But I decided to try it out. Played very tight/agressive. Never called a big bet. I was usually in control of all the pots I was involved in. I was in about 27th place with about 35 players left. Then the poker gods came into play. The table was extremely tight. Two huge stacks and two medium stacks. Along with me the other 5 were all around the same short stack. It was looking like wed be blinded out of the tourney soon. Heres what I did: I only had about three BB bets left. Im 1st position next to BB, I get dealt Q9s - I go all in, no callers. Im in BB get dealt KQs: all fold except for Button, raised the minimum, (supect trying to steal our blinds), SB (short stacked) I raise All in - button folds, SB calles (pocket 8's), I caught a K so im now in pretty decent position, i may last till final table. (18,000 chips) Three off the button I get dealt 10, 10 Early position (about 50000 chips) raises to 1000, I call, Button (almost same stacke as mine) raises to 2000, EP calls, I call: Flop: 2, 7, 10 rainbow, EP bets checks, I check, Button bet 1000, EP calls, I call. Turn is Q (2 7 10 Q) rainbow EP bets 3000, I call, Button calls, Turn is A (2 7 10 Q A) rainbow. EP checks, I checked, Button goes Allin for about 11000 EP calls, I call - EP had AQs, Button had Q10s, I triple my stack and proceed to finish 5th. Won $150. Thaks UPF. And last night, I played a $10 sit N go NL game. 2nd hand in, my AA's got cracked with a board of (A 4 4 J 10) someone with pocket 4's., i had only 25 in chips (start with 1000). I ended up wining.!!! unbelievable. I won 6 allin hands in a row. BETTER TO BE LUCKY THAN GOOD SOMETIMES!!!!!! | ||
