| I've had the worst run of play in a long time....gotta vent and feel sorry for myself for a moment..... it seems the poker gods have decided to punish me - when I stuck to my tight play, crap flops would come, and every one playing weak hands like A6, Q5, K3 all offsuit seemed to hit and my AK, AA KK QQ whatEVER - would bust to some stupid spike on the river. Of course these games were at the micro limits where crap openers are constantly played...so, I took a risk and moved up to the $1/$2 - held my own for a while - it was easier to put people on hands, but flat out got out-played on a couple of big hands (if I'm going to lose - I'd rather lose to quality - does that make sense?), with the exception of one particularly bad beat where I was in the BB with AA with just the SB calling - so I raised, he called. He bet and I raised the flop. He bet and I raised the turm. Turn came J - he bet, I raised, he called. River - T. He checked - I checked - He took the pot JJTT!! OUCH! Ok, I feel better now. Thanks. It's great to have a shoulder to cry on... Ennyway - going to try my first freeroll NL tourney this afternoon. This should be interesting......... | ||
