$.50/$1.00 NLHE on pokerroom

my stack is $20
I'm the button, I get dealt KK,
a bunch of $.50 calls, comes to me. I bet 6. Big stack (4120) next to me calls, all the rest fold.

FLOP comes. 2 3 6 rainbow

I go all in($14), with my overpair, and I know (hope?) big stack can't be on aces, or any sort of straight draw with an Ace. He calls.

turn comes 4

river comes 3.

He turns over 55. That sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. A gutbuster with a pair of 5's? gimme a break? Is this just a guy thinking i was bluffing and not respecting my bet? I've seen big stacks call obviously stupid all in bets by newbies, but was there anything i could have done?

You simply played unluckily, not badly. For small stakes, there always seems to be someone to whom the money is insignificant, and, after all, just how much is $14? If you made a mistake at all, it was in having only $20 on the table, compared to your opponents $4120 (?)
