| Normally I'm a strong supporter of Ultimate Bet, but I'm starting to get bugged. Their 2 days pending before releasing a withdrawl is a steaming crock. I requested a withdrawl from them last Sunday (11 days ago) and it is still marked as pending. This Sunday, I emailed them about it and got a "we'll forward your concern to accounting" response and haven't heard peep from them since, so last night I sent another email to them and this time got a form letter back appologising that there's a high email volume, so no human is actually going to look at my gripe for a while. I'm starting to think about taking everything out of UB and shopping for a new site ... if I can actually get them to pay me. $600 isn't the whole world, but it is still significant money to anybody and when it is floating in limbo like that it makes me uncomfortable. | ||

| I had a similar problem with Party about a month ago. It was the first time it had ever happened though, and my money was mailed to me (eventually!), it just took a little longer than usual. And hey......600 bucks IS a lot of money dammit! And when you can't deal with someone in person, it 'can' make matters seem worse. I'm sure you'll get your money though; it just puts a little doubt in your mind, that's all. Hey, come join me at Party.......'some goooood Omaha there! | ||

Hey stdioh, I just checked over on Party, and all the .50-$1 PLO8 had average pots of $10. They have four games as of right now. The $3-6 limit games have average pots of $50 up to $75, with seven games going.

The .50-$1 games were just regular limit ring games. They do have PL though, with $100 maximium buy-ins, with $1 and $2 blinds. The average pot there was $75.00 The other PL game is a $25.00 maximum buy-in with .25 and .50 blinds. Average pot was $16.00

| I agree. UB's customer service is terrible. 11 days pending for a cash out is ridiculous. I never encounter such problems on Paradise or PokerStars where I normally play. As for Party I refuse to play there until they upgrade their server. I got sick of their nightly server crashes and the fact that I never received a single hand history that I requested, not to mention that it is nearly impossible to use the live chat. Yes the games there are very soft, but for me it's not worth the aggrevation. I still believe Paradise is number one when it comes to customer service and prompt cash outs, and lately I've been running extremely well over there leaving me no reason to return to UB or Party. | ||

| Disclosure: I don't work nor am I affliated in any way with Party.....I just fish there. I've always had a good experience with Party customer service. And as for hand historys I get those usually with 30 seconds from the time I request it. For server and connection issues, other than a couple of days back in July and one or two times since then the server and connection has been nothing but perfect. did you make sure that your account profile was setup properly and that you typed in you email correctly? Just a thought. | ||

| check out www.absolutepoker.com (AP) Not huge by any means, very nice interface, support better than average, few SNG's, even fewer multi's - but they are definitely growing. I used to be a UB diehard, now I make AP my "home" - I only venture over to UB now when I can't find a game at AP. | ||

| Did you cash out to a Neteller account? I know that Neteller has been having problems the last week. I requested a cashout from them about a week and a half ago. I talked to them today and they were having troubles with their 'automated clearing house.' I don't know if your problems with UB are related. Just thought I'd ask. beigs | ||

| Nope. $200 should be a cashout to my visa (which I used for a quick deposit and then withdrawl to get the bonus) and the bulk of it ($400) should be a cheque mailed to me...which they haven't even written yet. | ||

| stdioh, i feel your pain. i requested a $1000 withdrawal on 8/31, it didn't process until 9/5, and as of today (the 20th), i still haven't received jack. i did send them an email last week and got the same response as you did, although the accounting dept. did say that the check was being sent from out of the country and so please all for 2 weeks. i'll leave it alone unless i don't get anything this week. the bad thing is that i have 2 more withdrawals pending from last week, although one of them was for 2K so that's supposed to be sent to me by courier, so i'm hoping that comes soon too. | ||

| I also have been having problems with several cashouts from UB. I think the volume of new players and increased business is slowing them down. But they say 2 business days to process, so I tend to worry when the two business days pass and my money isn't in NETeller. Change the darn notice if they can't deliver in two days as stated! | ||

| My pending finally went to paid yesterday. So now I can wait a couple of weeks for a cheque ... which in my case is coming from the same country, since they are mailed from Canada (at least to Canadian customers) ... still once they say that the cheque is in the mail it is a lot more comforting than when they say, "Pending" for an extended period. One thing that miffs me is that the exchange rate was favourable when I made the cashout request and was at the worst point when they credited my credit card :( | ||

| Hey stdioh, A couple of questions if you don't mind . . . 1) When you cash out of UB, why do you request a check instead of using Neteller or something similar? 2) I take it that you often prefer checks as your means of cashing out. As you know, I live in Montreal but am a U.S. citizen. Thus, I have a U.S. checking account which is linked directly to Neteller, my preferred choice due to their free transfers. I once attempted to deposit a check in U.S. funds into my Canadian checking account (Scotiabank) and was charged a nominal fee. Must you also pay a fee when depositing or cashing a check in U.S. funds at a Canadian institution? I don't know if you're aware of this, but Neteller recently began to offer Canadians the option of linking their checking accounts with them. I was all too happy to sign up for that service until the part came where I was asked for my Social Insurance Number. Well since I'm not a citizen of Canada, I could not complete the process. This is something you may wish to look into, for it is much quicker than waiting for a check by standard mail. 3) Just a general question: Was your cash out problem at UB a one time thing or is this common? I'm asking because I deposited $200 to take advantage of their bonus but ended up busting out with roughly $45 pending still. I'm not sure if that expires but if not I'm probably going to take another shot at UB even though I'm not too fond of their customer service. Thanks in advance and good luck in your games. - Giocatore | ||

| I know i am miles away in the UK, but i always get UB to send me a cheque and it always takes at least 3 weeks to get to me, then there is the week it takes for my bank to clear it as is in $'s. The good news is though that i get international exchange rates rather than the rip off credit card rate which is always about 5% worse off than when you deposit. > > 3) Just a general question: Was your cash out problem at UB a one time thing or is this common? | ok. I bought in with my Visa, so on a cash out all they do is refund the visa up to the maximum that you bought in for and then cut me a cheque for the rest. I'm not terribly interested in linking my bank account to netteller or going to all the bother of setting up a seperate account for those purposes. I'm find getting cheques in the mail so long as they aren't stupidly delayed. It's a one time thing for me. I've always had cheques go through reasonably fast. Actually, I have a really good deal with the cheques...I don't have to wait for them to clear or anything becasue I have a very good relationship with my bank - I have immediate cheque clearance for any cheque from anyone in any currency to any amount. Actually, I don't know what any amount really means .... I've had cheques for over $10K go in instantly no problems, but I imagine that there must be some reasonable upper bound before somebody makes a call to another bank or something. But yeah ... it is pretty convenient for me to deal with cheques. | ||
