| Has anyone been there or belong to that poker club. Im assuming it is legal ! hahah. Looks like a nice place to go in middle NJ instead of traveling to Atlantic city every week. Please if you have been there write back with a few hints of what it is. Thanks. Matt | ||

| Matt, I grew up 15 minutes from Middlesex and never heard of such a place. I'm curious also and hope someone here could provide us with any information about the place. If you hear anything please post it under this thread. Thanks. Giocatore | ||

| Well I typed "Rounds Middlesex NJ" into a search engine and found this: http://www.roundersnj.com Of course there's only so much you can gather from a web site but it looks legit. However, it says on their site that they only offer five tables. | ||

| I travel to Central Jersey on business once a month and I've been there several times. There's a one time memebership fee, I think $55. Half hour from where I work when in Jersey compared to 2hr drive to AC, so it was worth the fee for me to get some live poker in on my visits. If you're closer to AC, obviously just go there. Check out the web site another poster posted for games/tourney schedules. Difficult to find if you don't know where to look as it's down this dark industrial street. It's behind the DuPont chemical plant, between a garbage truck depot and a body shop in an industrial park. Hard to spot sometimes as they often have 3-4 garbage trucks blocking the entrance. Inside look like someone's really badly finished basement. They do some homecooking in the kitchen there that's complimentary to the players and pretty damn good. Also, smoke free. As to legality, who knows? I half expect Paulie Walnuts to walk in to collect his vig, but I don't know of it's ever been busted or anything. Folks there are generally pretty friendly. I usually play the 4/8 HE when I'm in town and it's very, very soft. Don't expect too many blind steals, that's for sure. The bigger games I expect are much tougher, I always see the same cast of characters playing them whenever I've been there, but I haven't played them myself yet. Not raked, drop is $3/half hour for the 4/8, not too bad. Tourneys are a rebuy frenzy and build some really big prizes considering the 3-4 tables they fill for it. I recommend going on a tourney night as they draw big for these and the side games after folks bust are always good. Weeknights without a tourney the bigger game is usually always full, but the 4/8 can be shorthanded all night. Haven't been there on a weekend, I'm sure the games are even better then. | Sounds like they must have some pretty cool cats playing at an almost underground club like that. I'd probably be a fish out of water, even at the 4-8 tables. | ||
