| 2/4 Limit Game on UB I get dealt AhKd in BB EP (tight player ) calls. MP1 (loose - sees every flop) calls MP2(plays good starting hands, but doesnt fold them) calls LP (no read - new to table) calls Button (tight player) raises, SB folds I reraise (hoping to eliminate some of the field to my left) EP folds, everyone else calls FLOP: As, Kc, 5c Good for me, but dont like this against a lot of players. I check, everyone checks to Button who bets, I raise again (hoping to thin the field) MP2 calls and Button calls. TURN: 3s I check again, MP2 checks, button bets, I raise MP2 calls, button calls, River is a 10c I bet, MP2 calls, button raises, I call, MP2 calls..he had Button: had 8c,Jc MP2 had Qc,9c I had the worst hand two pair A's & K's Did I play this wrong. I feel with me raising it only enticed them to play | ||

| I think you played this fine through the turn, but made a mistake by betting the river into a 3-flush on the board. That bet enabled your opponent to raise, which cost you an extra 1 BB. Given the betting, it seemed quite likely at least one of these players was on the flush draw. Once that 3rd club hits, I'd check/call. If you had a really good read on your opponents, check/fold is also an option. But in most cases, I'll make the crying call. | ||

| I agree with you that the play on the end cost one big bet. However, I'm not sure checking is always right. If you don't bet, some people take that as a license to steal. Anyway, if you are going to call a bet anyway, you might as well bet. If you get raised, then you can make the laydown as it's 99% that it's a flush. I think continuing to bet is a better play because sometimes there won't be a flush out there, and loose players won't put you on a flush and will sometimes call with as little as one pair. | ||

| I like the checkraises on both the flop and the turn. You charged the drawers the max. to get there. I hate the bet on the river. Looking at the board, you have to ask yourself what else were they calling all those raises with other than clubs? If someone had a set, they surely would have at least capped the turn. I think when the club hits the river ytou MUST check and call OR maybe check/fold if it comes to you raised again. | ||

| I think re-raising the pre-flop raiser and the checkraise were both good plays that should thin the field for you. You have to put the people who are left on either club draws, straight draws, a weaker ace, or possibly trips. I would have led the turn. On the river, I think you have to check it. I would be real worried that one of the players picked up their straight or their flush. You probably want to call any single bet, and fold to any raise on the river. | ||

| I agree with the replies. I think thats one of my weaknesses is letting go top two pair, especially A's & K's. The loose MP player usually plays pockets pairs to the river, and raises any four to flush draw...thats why I didnt peg him for the Flush. I figured the button's raise after the flop was for a free card on the river, But after I raised and he stayed in the pot, I didnt figure him for the Flush either. I pegged him for Ax. But looking back I know I missplayed it. | ||

| If it's a loose game and loose players, I think even the bet on the river is OK, but you should not have called the raise as, at that point it's 99% that you are beat and pot odds are no longer a consideration. The check/call-if-it's-not-raised play might be good too. If you check, and there is a bet and a call or raise before it gets back to you, then you can definitely lay it down. | ||
