Ok, I promised to post the results of the home game I helped to organize. It was $100 entry No Limit Hold'em tournament. We had 15 participants. 5 players backed out with in 2 days of the tournament. As I had said before, minus the 3 guys I play with regular, 11 fish. The tournament its self went real smooth. Blinds, play, food, everything went well. Two tables, one of 7 and one of 8 balancing whenever possible. I won the very first hand played. Then 2 hands later lost a medium pot with my two pair to trip 3's. I put one of the solid players out when I hit an 8 high straight to his 7 high. I was on the button and the table called around to me so I called with 7 8 o (normally would fold). Flop came 4 6 10. One small bet, called around and I just call. 4th street brings a 3. One small bet called around and I raise small on the outside straight draw. I have a read on the table at this point and know if I hit my straight I will get paid off. River brings a 5 to leave 3456 on the board. One small bet and folds to me. I put him on a 7. I raise all in hoping he has it also. The small blind on my right calls and the better folds. I put my brother out with my 8 high straight. I showed one bluff early on when I made a position raise and the strong player folded. That show paid off. I hit a straight on the river with 3 spades on the board. A question mark across from me bet, I raised medium and he moved all in. I studied him for a full 2 minutes then folded. He proceeded to show me his bluff and said he did so because I showed one earlier. Mine was a small one though. His cost him his entry. I had him read from there on and it only took 20 hands to put him out. It took 4 hours of heads up play with who I consider to be an equal player (we play reguarly) for me to finally win. I won the tournament and $686 but more importantly, everyone had a great time and wanted to know when we could play again. I'm in the process of trying to schedule another game. This is one I want to keep going as long as possible. Thanks for all the posts, they have helped.

Brent
