Hoyle WSOP Question/opinion, Big Frank, 15. Sep 2003 05:57

In addition to Wilsons TTHE 5.0 (not the tournament edition), I have the Hoyle WSOP game. I was wondering what you all thought of it. I would guess that it is more for entertainment value than anything else unlike Wilsons where you might be able to learn something that can make you money, but I have won it 3 times now in about as many years and was wondering who had similar success? Is it just a waste? Is the tournament edition of Wilsons that much better?
The interesting thing about Hoyle, I was short stacked on the final table where the chip leader had almost 500K and I had about 40K. I chipped away, got lucky, won a big pot and fought my way back to win it.

a friend of mine got it recently and seemed convinced early on that the hand values were off- he thought that the seven-card stud hands were showing too many winning two pairs. not sure if he still thinks so.
