| Poker Players, I hope you get a kick outta this story - feel free to laugh at me! I played my first LLHE SNG last week. Was so excited that I finished 2nd, I had to pace my livingroom to chill out BEFORE walking my dog! So yesterday I decide to try again. I get in on a Party SNG - the cards are dealt - but why so many cards? I wonder what is wrong, my software? What???? Then I look up at the top of the screen: yep, I accidently sat down to a 7 card stud table. Now, I have never played 7 cardd stud. Soon my machine was beeping I had to decide. I folded. Folded the next few hands to see how this game is played. Then after a while. I win a pot on a flush and stay alive. Long story short, I won the thing! So a little while later, I try again - had to see how I would do if I played 7 card on purpose. I would have been very happy to make it to 5th at this point. I make it to 5th by folding a lot and winning 2 hands along the way. All through this particular table, there were 3 excellent players, I really enjoyed watching them. Good solid consistant poker. There was one other guy who folded all the time,and me left. I was a heavy folder, but would play if I got a hand. I was down to $300,the other guy $250 and the 3 solid guys all over 1300. The other guy finally busts out posting the initial bet. I have 270 left. Finally get a starting hand worth playing (but due to the level of the game, I am all in after 2 bets). Win the hand. Then all of a sudden, for a person who likes to fold a lot, I got some good hands when I needed them to "stay alive" . I knew I would be next to go out and was very happy with my results at that point. But, wouldn't ya know, the next hand, one of the solid guys busts out. Two hands later, another. Then I pay heads up (which I am lousy at ) for about 15 minutes before winning the SNG!! Really, I have never played 7 card stud before. I felt bad for the 3 solid players - they were really good and played great poker. A fun nite - and I am sure that future trips to the 7 card stud SNG's would bear out the true nature of my game :^) Thanks for letting me share the fun with you all. This is a great site. | I have lost count of the number of times i have sat down online at a SNG and the realised that i am going to get 7 cards instead of 2, that i am playing for high and low or that i am playing limit instead of NL ! In fact i played on line in a SNG last week whilst talking to one of my mates on the phone and it took me about 40 hands ( thats right 40 !!! ) before i realised i was in a limit and not a no limit competition, the funy thing was when i typed in the chat box to tell the table !!!! TWO !!!! other people said they had also meant to play NL as well !!! Needless to say my mind was not focused that night and i lost ! Chasepoker | ||

| In the wee hours of one morning, a player sat down at the Holdem table, and on his first deal, looks at his cards face down and looks at the dealer with eyes like dinner plates, and asks "And where are the rest of my cards?". The dealer - who has seen this happen many, many times - tells him that the Omaha is across the room. I glance at my cards and remark that considering the two I got, I could use two more also ... Your story is great Kyle! Poker is poker. The fact you are getting skillful at different poker games is a good sign, I think. Congrats and best of luck in your games! flintsword | ||

| LOL there is such a mad scramble for a tourney table at Partypoker that several times i have found myself at the wrong game. Funny thing is that im never the first out....even games I have never player before. | ||
