Greetings,

First time poster but an avid reader of this forum for about the last 2 months. Very new to poker as well (probably 6 months tops). First discovered poker by accident through the WPT and was hooked after the first show. Since then have exclusively played at party where I'm sure the majority of frequent posters to this forum have enjoyed some of my money.

However, since I found this place, I have noticed a marked improvement in my game, thanks to the terrific advice that is posted here on a regular basis. It is extremely encouraging that there are so many experienced players willing to offer so much of their knowledge, to what appears to be a booming poker population at the moment, without any hesitation.

After paying the newbie poker tax and being down to the felt in my bankroll on a couple of occasions, the game has now returned me a small profit. My game is at a high point at the moment, and after winning my last 2 consecutive $10+1 SnG's (I know it's not much, but it's a start!), I am enjoying the game more than ever. In no small part do I attribute my recent good run to the quality information posted on this site, and for that I am most thankful.

Keep up the good work UPF, and thanks to all those who are willing to give some of their time to help the newbies improve.

Regards,

Aussiedude.

Congrats on winning those Sit'n'Gos. It may be pretty easy to get in the top four or so, but taking first, especially twice in a row ain't easy!

Good job aussiedude, always feels good to be back in the black! Be careful not to move up too fast and enjoy your time at the tables!
