What's the worst SUITED hand you would play?

Loose game / tight game /game w/ both types of players...
Blinds /non-blind positions...

Depending on my position, the amount of players in the pot, and if I can get in cheaply enough, I will play a hand as low as 5-4 suited; ......but only sometimes......not always!!!

4P-

Once, and only once, and because I was bored by current play, I willingly limped in with 72 suited, just for grins and fully expected to give up my donation to the pot - I flopped a boat and ended up winning the hand!

XXsuited..... in the BB..... when no one raises.

After the flop, it depends on the callers and action.

I think you mean XY suited Easy...otherwise, I'd be asking for a deck change :)

It depends on the situation. There are some spots where 32s can be played profitably. So, I don't define with certaintly what I will and won't play (other than not playing a lot of low two and 3 gappers).

Depends depends depends.

56 suited is much lower than Q3 suited. I'll play 56 suited in a loose passive game in middle position, but I'll never touch Q3 suited.

New to online game, playing for several months. Im a very tight player...only playing solid hands preflop. If im on the button or close to it, Im a little more loose as to what hands I play, But generally very tight. Which unfortunately doesnt pay sometimes. I play on UB and PP 2/4 and 3/6 and sometimes 5/10. I feel that my tight play has cost me some money, because I dont get any action with my good hands.

To get back to your question, If I feel my table image is viewed as very tight. I'll sometimes play low suited connectors and make it a point to show my cards at the end. Actually the other night, playin on UB, I was playing so tight.....seeing less than 20% of the flops. I got dealt pocket A's tried slow playing them, but still made no money.

The very next hand, 3s5s. I normally would not play this but called in mid position, another MP raised, buttonreraised, BB called I called.
Flop came: 2 6 4 rainbow.
No help to anyone exept possibly the blind and of course me.
BB checks, I check, MP bets, Button Raises, BB folds, I call
Turn came K
I got my straight, MP bets, button raises, I reraise. And now theres a pause. MP calls and Button Calls.
River came A
I check MP bets, BB raises, and i reraise and MP calls and BB reraise Max bet.
MP had AK, BB had AA, and i took down a huge pot.
BB was not happy. Not only did I win that pot, but playing a low connectors, suited or not, every now and then if your pegged as a tight player, Will pay off when you have the nuts. I know I got extremely lucky their but Ive played cheap hands calling to the river just to have a show down so others see what Im playing with. I usually lose the hands but I believe it helps over the course of the session.

Any comments..

Showing the table that you do sometimes play low suited connectors is not going to change their impression of your table image, even if you show them from early position. This is because many players view this as a reasonable starting hand, would have played it themselves, and wouldn't even consider that you got out of line here. You won a nice pot with your 53s simply because there were some good second best hands this time. It may let you play more aggressively when low cards do fall later in the game, but you're still going to be viewed as a tight player. Anyone can fire in raises on the turn with the nuts, it's when you semibluff, get called and catch the slim out that will change your image.

HERE IS WHAT I TEACH MY STUDENTS: DON'T GO BELOW 4 5
SUITED, AS THIS IS THE LOWEST CONNECTOR THAT STILL HAS
MAXIMUM STRETCH. FOR ONE GAPPERS, I WOULD SUGGEST
10 8 suited, as the absolute minimum.

BUT, THESE 'RAGS' CAN ONLY BE PLAYED IN IDEAL GAMES
(MAXIMUM PLAYERS, MINIMUM RAISES, MAXIMUM CALLERS
AFTER THE FLOP.

AS FAR A SUITED HANDS THAT CANNOT MAKE A TWO CARD
STRAIGHT, DON'T GO BELOW KINGx suited. EVEN THEN,

REMEMBER THAT THIS IS THE : ABSOLUTE MINUMUM.
DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE CONDITIONS WILL BE RIGHT, JUST
THAT YOU CAN PLAY THAT

SOME OF THE TIME.

IF YOU LIKE MONEY, DON'T EVEN THINK OF THINGS LIKE

Jx suited 10x suited, etc. LEARN TO THINK OF THESE HANDS,

AS THOUGH THE CARDS WERE BLANK, AND THUS CANNOT
MAKE ANYTHING (WHICH IS NOT FAR FROM THE TRUTH)

HERE IS A FAMOUS ADAM QUOTE, NOT EVER BEEN REVEALED,
EXCEPT TO MY CLOSE STUDENTS.

(ANYONE MAY USE THIS, PROVIDING THEY GIVE ADAM THE CREDIT
FOR COINING IT)

"SUITED DOESN'T MAKE A BAD HAND GOOD, ONLY GOOD HANDS
BETTER" -ADAM, 1989
