| Thanks so much for all of the help on here! I play in LL tournys ($1/3/5) and have never done so well but yesterday I finished 18/360, 52/122, and 10/450. Good poker day for me. I just wanted to thank everyone because I've never finished above the top 10% but I've read almost every post on here (btw, that took forever :) ). Anyways I read on here often how people take bad beats. I think I've taken my fair share but the tides changed yesterday. Had A-J suited in SB. One raise from MP I call, BB calls. Without getting too much in to detail- flop was J-2-3, I bet he raises (BB folds) turn is 5, I bet he raises over top all in. I think about it and call (it was about an additional 15% so), He turns over pocket Kings. But it's ok because the river brought a 4 and I got my straight I was banking on the whole way :). I know I should have probably been tipped off from his two raises but this players raise button was broke so I stopped putting much stock in it. It made up for it later when my pocket aces (I called his all in while 3/62 remaining of 1122) lost to j-q who pulled a straight out of his... Two hands later my flush gets beat by full house (hit a jack on the river- my flush came first so that should count more). So 3/62 to 52/59 (finished 56th going allin after a flush- i missed) in time for the break. But seriouslly- thanks to everyone! I'm new to the board and haven't posted much- just learning through others. | ||
