| This stat is available at the better sites now. In most professional opinions, what is a good percentage of flops to be seen for a basic player? | ||

| Don't play hands just cause a percentage, Each hand should be played differently at all times. Sometimes you will fold cards that you will usually play and play cards that you will usually fold. Go by instincts and read your opponets all of them are trying to tell you something. Depending on the table will determine the number of hands you play. If the table is loose but not agressive see more hands, raise when you got premium hands call almost all ace suited and even king suited. If it is a tight agressive table with lots of raising play few hands, nothing lower then group 3 hands. Bluffing is neccassary at these tables. Tight players fold a lot. Also remeber that even if your caught on bluffing it will benefit you later on. Don't let it phase you. Good luck | ||

| Percent of flops seen isn't a very important statistic in my view point. However, the amout of hands taken past 4th street and the amount of pots won on showdown is very informative information, and is a good tool to have access to I think | ||

| I tend to agree. Looking at the flops seen stat at the online table really provides too small a sample. Now, if you saved those stats over months of regular play, then it might be meaningful taken as a whole. -Moz "That man is a Brownie-hound." | ||

| The comments you have recieved so far on this have correctly stated that the number of flops is based on the texture of the game. That said, over time it seems likely that tight games and loose games would even out and in the long term you could come up with a number - I'd say about 17%. I realize that 17% is a bit precise for an estimate but 20% is one in 5 and that's too many...15 is almost 1 in 7. Anyway, 17%'s my number and I'm sticking to it :) Again though, I'm talking over 1000's of hours played. | ||
