| Managed to win a seat on the Party Poker III....it has been so long since I played live(for more than a few hours) I can't seem to remember the sunglasses issue...just got back from a B+M and a guy with shades folded his hand after his "stare" when I had AA...what gives?...is this all in my head?...How would a poker teacher respond to a very real concern such as this>>>Thanks for any coments | ||

| Wear glasses if you feel more comfortable (I do sometimes), but IMO it doesn't matter too much. I've seen some pretty big jackasses wearing sunglasses at the tables. Eli on 7. | I'm a big fan of eye protection . And since I wear it at work all the time I have started wearing it at the table too. I especially wear it when I play video poker. It keeps the glare down. I recommend a good pair of eyeshades like Maui Jims' pricey but worth every damn nickel. They do have a bit of red blockage too them but nothing you cant over come and make to work in your favor if you try. Eye movement can be a tell but what can be used as a tell can be used as a reverse tell as well. | ||

| In my first game in america i had this guy ( several ) on my left wearing sunglasses. The funny and for me lucrative thing was he had it on top of his head and put it on his nose whenever he had a hand. I saved myself a few bets there. keep on learning . tommyhawk | ||

| Just being jocular.... I know a few regulars at my regular room that should wear big old blind guy sunglasses. Their eyebrows raise whenever they have a hand, and the higher the eyebrows go, the better their cards ! Never fails ! LOL | ||

| When a player is wearing mirrored glasses, and is the sort to put is face near the table when checking hole cards, you can sometimes catch some reflection from them. Even if you only see the colour, it can be worth a lot later on. Though I'm sure that comment will spark a massive ethics debate. | ||

| No ethics debate from me. If someone wants to be that stupid and give that kind of information, then why should I refuse it? It is the same as finding a tell in a player except that this tell can be seen by everyone in the mirror of his shades. | ||
