| I noticed party poker now offers 200+15 sit and go's and was wondering if anyone has played them at all. It's above my bankroll, but I was watching one, and it seemed surprisingly soft. For instance, the board was Q Q 5 6 with 3 diamonds on the flop. One player moved all in, and another called with Ad 7h. Talk about a loose call! Also, 2 players had been eliminated before it was past level 1. If you have played them, are they always this loose? I usually don't have a problem with dropping 200 for a tournament, but that is only once in a while for live tournaments. If they are always this soft though, I might consider taking a few shots at it to see if I can't money. It would be a huge great boost to my bankroll for first, and not moneying wouldn't be too much of a hit. So, anyone played these yet? Lee | ||

| Since I started playing Partypoker a month ago...and playing and watching many, many sitngo tournaments that either my friends are in or I just wanted to check out, I have come to the conclusion that most of the games are soft after 7pm Pacific time. I'm on the West Coast, and when I play a sitngo in the afternoon here, they seem much more tight and people play excellent starting hands. But when those Californians jump in the mix, especially from the Southern tip, expect the games to become loose and fast. | ||

| PokerStars has a 300+20 sit n go, I play it a couple times a week, the good thing about it is that you hardly ever get an people fishing for double gut shot belly buster straights.......but that can also be a bad thing also.... | ||

| I would be hesitant to play in a game like that. The party poker SnG's can be pretty profitable, but only because of the high number of bad players. I think that the blind structure and starting chip values cause the games to be pretty crap-shooty. Normally I can just wait for most of the bad players to bust out or get lucky and then play who is left. If there were 8 decent players I think it would just come down to who got the good cards once the blinds were high... | ||

| That's exactly why I continue to play Party. Granted, I max out at the $30 SNG's, but last night I played and had decided after 1 level that I was getting 2nd place. I knew I couldn't win without the best of cards, because I would never try to stay in a drawing hand with these players. Literally, 7 others had ratted themselves out already as either very wild, or trying to portray such a tough guy image that they were way overdoing it. Overly aggressive is putting it nicely. I did get 2nd because I managed to squeak out a few wins (as I appeared uber-tight), but the only other player left was a result of attrition, and therefore had a larger stack. I bowed out quietly when nothing came to me late, and took my $57 profit. p.s. what happened to the spell check? on 8. Sep 2003 16:45 Jav wrote: > I would be hesitant to play in a game like that.
