| Yep, finished out of the money ( 10 get paid ) in this European championships for casino employees. Did not have great cards but stuck in there for a long time I had a good all-in pot with 8JH with 5 callers up front where I decided it was time to hit the pot with BB coming to eat me soon. So one hour later I am on the BB 1500 with 3200 left (4,700 ). Everybody folds SB calls. He is the chipleader with 40,000. I got the feeling he is trying to set me up. I got K5o a hand that I would have folded in any position. Flop k Q 7.....he checks I check also, trying to look weak (which I am a little ofcourse.) Turn is an 8 and he bets 3,000.......i am all in thinking I have him and ready to double up here which I desperately need to do. Cards go open I show my K and he shows me his AA. That was a nice play a gave him a pat on the shoulder and pray for a K or 5 on the river....no luck. SHOULD I have folded leaving me with 3,000 and minus 750 in blinds so a full round to wait to toss my 2,250 in????. I totally misread him although I had this funny feeling up front. I am really in strive with myself here did I make the wrong play?. Tell me the truth.. I can take it. tommyhawk. | ||

| I think you did the right thing. It's anyone's guess whether he had a monster like AA or KK or had nothing, given his chip dominance it could have gone either way, and you did have top pair with very little stack left. It was a good play of his, but I don't think that you did anything terribly wrong. Eli on 4. | I have no problem with going broke here. Its pretty tough to get off top pair in this situation. Sorry to hear you missed the money. That's not one of the more pleasant experiences in poker - I've got plenty of practice at it. Mark | ||
