| This question doesnt pertain to online playing, only in live and home games. Lets say everyone folded out and its me and one other player left in the pot. He proceeds to go all in. Before I decide to call his all in, can i flip my cards over so he can see my hand, in an attempt to get any sort of read or reaction????? | ||

| Flipping over your cards in the absence of any other physical or verbal cue indicating that you intend to call is generally considered a muck. | ||

| Your hand would be considered dead at this point. It's 'illegal' to show a live hand to any active players. So, you would have to award him the pot if you did this. -Moz "You can't conquer the world with a shoddy olive." | ||

| ALL rules are contingent upon the HOUSE rule. Some houses allow showing face-up head-up, some dont. Never assume a rule is OFFICIAL anywhere but in that house where it applies. | ||

| Depends on the house rules. In a friendly home game, this sort of thing is usually allowed. Since you can't influence his action it might also be allowable in a real tournament. In general though, a lot of places have a rule that if the action for the hand is not complete and cards are exposed then they go in the muck. There are also regional rules too. If you're playing in England, talking during a hand other than saying, "check", "call", etc can lead to your hand being mucked. Generally speaking you don't need to do it. If it does get some information for you, then really it's an angle that you're shooting and it is ethically very flimsy. | ||

| I don't know where everyone is playing who has said you can't do this - but in the last three months I've done it in LV, LA and San Diego. I realize that there are places that have a house rule against such an act in a live game, but in my experience they are the minority. | ||
