| Hey: I'm sure this this has been asked before, but I was wondering how one gets a job as a prop. Do you have to know somebody? Are they advertised? Thnks | ||

| A prop is a player paid by casinos to help start games and keep short games going. They usually receive an hourly wage but play with their own money. Obviously, getting paid to play gives you a nice addition to your hourly expectation, but you aren't able to select your own games, so you have to be able to adapt well and play more than one game well. | ||

Thnks It depends on where you live. In las vegas they are sometimes advertised, especially now with poker booming. If you are also willing to learn how to deal, it is much easier. Tell Frank what a prop is. | ||
