| Asking to borrow money to be staked in a penny-ante game is not a good way to start your poker career. If you are too young to figure out how to fund your account you are too young to be playing, It's not good to go around asking for money; it is a bad habit among degenerate gamblers so you might as well stop it now. How about getting a job to fund your account? When I was your age I made $100 a week working part time so it can't be that hard. If you really want to play for money then another way is to earn it the hard way by winning a freeroll tournament. Good luck. | ||

| You did not read my post kid. You are flat out too young to gamble and starting this week you've got homework to do and girls to chase, I'd suggest you get cracking ;-) | ||

| A couple words of advice Craig- I may sound like an old man (although I'm not), but I'd advise you to not be so gung-ho about all of this at age 15. There are good reasons why gambling is illegal if you're under 21, whether you agree with them or not. There are good reasons why your parents wouldn't want you gambling online. The rest of us made do just fine playing cards with our buddies on weekends during high school rather than taking poker so seriously. Reading about it, playing for play money, that's all great, it will help you later. You'll be very well prepared for the game of poker when you're old enough to walk into a cardroom. But going to all the lengths you seem to be willing to just to play for real money online- I know it's tempting but if it was me at your age (and thank god online gambling didn't exist then) I could see myself in your shoes and regretting it later. It's just too slippery a slope at a young age, and you'll have plenty of time later to become a degenerate gambler like the rest of us :) Whether you agree with me or not (and I'm sure you don't), know that I mean well because if I were 15 today, I'd probably have the same mindset as you. | Craig, I have seen you post on here over and over again. I know you are 15 yrs old and feel like you are ready to take on the 'big dogs' online. I understand that at your age its very difficult to have patience, but...HAVE PATIENCE! Keep reading, keep learning...while its true you cant read any book that will give you exactly what you need to be a successful player, you can gain a lot of knowledge and insight by reading everything you can. Remember buddy, its not healthy to focus all of your attention on 1 hobby. Pay attention to getting good grades, earning a college degree, then concentrate on poker. | ||
