| Problem - Betting Structure Check ===================== I highly appreciate MOZ, for his ability to make us understand poker in a layman method. I hope this time again i would get some more tips alongwith the solutions for the problems posted below.. Thanks for ur earlier reply MOZ. :)) !!SOME MORE QUERIES REMAINED UNANSWERED!! PORBLEM - 1 (Texas Holdem) There are five players 1,2,3,4,5. Plr1 - SB Plr2 - BB Now the bet sequence for bet round is 3,4,5,1,2 FIRST BET ROUND - SECOND BET ROUND Plr 3 - CHECKS Plr 4 - CHECKS Plr 5 - BETS Plr 1- CALLS Plr 2 - CALLS *but as per rule Plr 3 and 4 would also be asked for their bets before this bet round ends* Plr 3 - CALLS Plr 4 - CALLS Now as we can see that betting was turned back to Plr 3 and Plr 4 who were first in bet sequence. But in this round the betting actually happened in 5,1,2,3,4 sequence. So in next round onward what would be bet sequence 3,4,5,1,2 or 5,1,2,3,4? | ||

Moz: On the next round, the betting sequence begins again with player 3. For a particular hand, the betting sequence is always the same. In your example, the betting sequence really did begin with player 3, it was just that player 3 and player 4 both chose to check. Player 5 wanted a bet in the pot, so he opened, which is why the betting came back to players 3 and 4. In any case, in Holdem, the actual betting does not affect the betting sequence on any given round, only the dealer puck determines the sequence. > -Moz "I'm a well-wisher, in that I don't wish you any specific harm." | ||
