| Experience a lot of downsides to poker on-line. Position is one of these. For example: being in Late position while playing at a B&M you have a better extimation of players that will likely fold after you. Any thoughts on different effects on position while playing on-line. Thanks | ||

| I think you hit the nail on the head with what you posted....The other issue is that you can't change seats in the game without giving up your seat to the waiting list! | Another downside online is that there are no tells to look for since you can't see your opponent. | ||

| I have experienced a huge disadvantage while playing on-line, especially in tournaments. I use AOL dial-up and occasionally get disconnected! What a bummer when you are doing well, get disconnected, and by the time you get back, you have blinded off several thousand $. Good luck, Honest_Ken | ||

| Unless you live in the boondocks where there is no cable, you can do something about the disconnects. I would most definitely recommend a broadband internet service to any online player. Not only is the service better with less disconnects but one might have a better legal defense with cable internet in the unlikely event the government attempts to prosecute individual online players. No telephone line involved. | ||
