| 500 BUY IN TORNY 37 PEOPLE LEFT 70,000 1ST PLACE ; I HAVE 35,000 ABOUT AVG IM 1 OFF THE BUTTON W/ 2 4S AND A TIGHT IMAGE I RAZE 2 7777 W/ BLINDS OF 1500-3000 150 ANTE BUTTON HAS 70,000 AND IS GAMBLING CALLS AS DOES BIG BLIND W/ SAME CHIPS AS ME WHO HAS BEEN PLAYING SOLID. FLOP 8 8 3 BIG BLIND CHECKS I READ THE BUTTON 4 TO OVERCARDS THAT HELL BLUFF NOT TAKE A FREE W/ SO I CHECK HE BETS 20,000 AS I SUSPECTED I MOVE ALL IN 4 27K AND HE CALLS W/ J QS TURN 7 RIVER J MY QUESTION IS IT CORRECT 2 TRY 2 GET HIM 2 BLUFF THERE OR DO U WANT 2 MOVE IN ON THE FLOP AND TRY AND TAKE IT MY LOGIC IS THAT ONLY A BETTER HAND IS CALLING BUT A WORSE 1 WILL BLUFF IM NOT 2 CONCERNED W/ THE DBL PAIRED BOARD W/ THE 8 8 3 FLOP I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD READ AND THE ONLY WAY FOR HIM 2 PUT CHIPS IN.BUT, I HAVE BEEN GETTING CRITICIZED (NOT JUST 4 MY SPELLING) POT IS 80K GIVES ME A LEGIT SHOT AT MAKING FINAL TABLE BUT FOLDING LEAVES ME W/ 27K STILL PLENTY W/ A GAMBLING TABLE AND 5500 A RND 2 PLAY DO U WANT A WORSE HAND 2 PUT $ IN OR NOT I FEEL U DO BEING A RING GM PLAYER FOR 20K HRS IM USED TO PLAYS LIKE THAT BUT 1ST YEAR PLAYING TRNYS NOT SURE OF ALL THE STRATEGY. HAVING SOME SUCSESS BUT NEED SOMETHING EXTRA. WHAT WLD A TOP TRNY PLAYER DO? | ||

| First, let me say that I am NOT an experienced N/L tournament player. However, I believe you made a big mistake by raising $7777 from the cut-off seat with a "gambling" player behind you on the button. My reasoning is that in a tournament where there were approximately 350 players to start, you have made it to the final 37 with an average stack by playing tight, but aggressive poker. It is far too early to try to emulate Gus Hansen's performance at the final table of the recent WPT events! and, remember, there are still 4 tables in action. They probably paid 27 players, so all you needed to do was wait for 10 more to go out to make the money. Plus, you have several hands before you have to post again. | i was already in $ alltho 36th was was worth more in 15-20 mins they were down to 18 players witch i did not expect | ||
