| Has anyone played in the limit hold'em games at Harrah's in East Chicago, Indiana? Living in Chicago I don't have too many options for B&M cardrooms. I know games can vary, but what is the cardroom like,how are the players in general? Are there any other options within a reasonable driving distance? Thanks for your help. SC | ||

| The poker room at harrah's is not a bad place to play. Depending on what kind of game you are looking for. Depending on were you are at in the chicago land area. Harrah's in Joliet has a real good room. Hollywood has higher stakes poker if you are looking something like 10/20 or 15/30, but I think Harrah's in joliet in better. They have the same games but they also carry the lower limit tables. | ||

| I know Hollywood used to have 5-10 hold em, but since the tax increase they charge $30 during the week and $50 on weekends to play. I don't know if they still use a rake with these fees (greedy bastards probably do) best bet is to call the poker room and ask. | ||

| Harrah's is a good room and the 5/10 and 10/20 games tend to be fairly weak. However they recently increased their rake to 10% or a $6 max. This is really tough on a 5/10 game. Espescially when they rake an extra dollar for the bad beat jackpot from every hand at the 5/10. Get in a home game and save the rake. | ||

| Harrahs Joliet has a poker room? I was in Aurora a few weeks ago and they were talking about the $30 charge, it did go through? I was there on a Wednesday night and all they had were 5-10 and 10-20 Holdem. I live in the Davenport, Iowa area and you can find 10-20 and 20-40 DC on the weekends. They are having a 30-60 game this Monday. | ||
