More Hold`em Excellence,A winner for life by Lou Krieger

Winning low limit hold`em by Lee Jones

I have noticed some big differences starting hands in particular.

I have read Lous book several times.
I read Lou`s book first and made huge improvements on my game.
I`m reading lees now it seems a bit looser style.

Any opinions on these books would be appreciated
thanks again

Hi

Since you are a beginner, I would focus more on Lou Kriegers book on starting hand selection.

Lee wrote his book, as he states in the book, with the loose and wild, no fold'em holdem games of California as his frame of reference.

If that is not *your* frame of reference you should tighten your starting requirements accordingly, ala Lou.

I've met both authors on many occasions and find both to be excellent books. As with any book you should not use it as a step-by-step operations manual.

Understand the situations (cards, position, players, and action) in which different hands are playable and play them accordingly.
