| I've heard reference to keeping stats. What kind of stats should one be keeping? As for flops, for a beginner playing the low low limit hold'em tables, how many should I be seeing? I feel like I play pretty tight before the flop, especially considering the tables I'm playing, and see about 30-35% of the flops. Is this too many? | ||

| Depends on what kinds of cards you are playing,a nd how long you are tracking what you play. Your cards will run hot and cold; if your sample sizes are too small, you will see periods where the only flops you see are your unraised blinds, and other periods where you see a tremendous number of flops... keep a good, long sample, and you should see somthing in the 25% area overall. -Moz "I'm a well-wisher, in that I don't wish you any specific harm." | ||

| i'm playing low limit hold'em and i can play upwards of 500 hands a day if I have the time. | ||

| Record your hours played, money made or lost in that time, the limit, and where you were playing ... plus anything else you want to record. | ||

| I keep a log of where I played hours played total hours played, total win/loss, Avg hourly rate, hourly rate per session. Win/loss per session notes on games. Its a great tool for seeing the effects of statistical variation and keeping you from going on tilt. | ||
