| granted I only played there a couple of nights. I play mostly the NL and at that place if I raise more than 3 or 4 times the blinds everyone folds. Hell even guys at poker stars call me. At party I could go all in UTG for $100 and get 2 callers. I could show them my Aces and I'd still probably get callers at party. Anyways I'm up thousands at the prima poker network, only up a couple thou at stars and paradise, and well ahead at party/empire. I played 2 nights at UB lost $200 but could already tell that the NL players weren't total fish and it's rather hard to make any dough there. I'm asking because the have a new 50% bonus up to $100 offer. so is it the crowd toughest at UB? | ||

| I am convinced that there is a lot of collusion and bad players at Party Poker. Online poker in general is more of a gamble than B&M. I have played many games where I raise my pocket aces only to see three callers. In the end some scrub catches a gut shot staight while holding an 5-8 off suit. Is thisbad player or collusion? I admit Party Poker attracts more new players because of it's TV ads, but it also attracts more teams of sharks to eat up all the little fishies. I am now shying away from real money online tournaments and sticking to B&M and tournament play on PokerStars online. | ||

Squaliform, You are "convinced" that there is collusion on Party Poker while feeling totally comfortable and confident that none of that exists on Poker Stars?.......Why? I do believe that to think that collusion isn't possible and does not occur would be quite naive, BUT....to think that it doesn't or couldn't happen on "all" of the poker sites, would also be naive IMO. There also is a big difference between being a bad player and observing what you find to be collusion. That's one of the main reasons why you're going to experience so many more "bad beats" (the 5-8 against your A-A), because a lot of the players don't realize they're making a bone-headed call, or they're drawing almost dead against you. There's sharks and fishies on every site.......I'd rather play with the fishies myself! 4P- | ||

| I'm lost as to why you think someone playing 5-8 offsuit equals collusion. I can't imagine what info you could get in collusion to make you think that 5-8 offsuit is going to win. | ||

| I was just thinking... if you know that one guy holds 89s, another 10js and another qks you are a 50 50 coin flip to win against AA...im sure you could find better cards that even make you a favorite...in which case it would be smart to put your money in, with cards you would normally fold. on 29. | I was using 5-8 off suit as an extreme example. I am just saying that if multiple people are colluding, it may make sense for all of them to see the flop with the hope that at least one player hits it. If I hold 5-8, my partner hold KQ and my other partner hold J-10, then it is likely that one of us will hit the flop. | ||

| I don't think the crowd on UB is that tough, but I do think that it is very easy to underestimate yourself and to overestimate your opponents when you are having a run of bad luck. | ||
