| (for the unaware, this refers to my "Why is everyone kissing up to 4P?" reply to a thread a few weeks ago) I was waiting to put together something amusing, such as UPF bringing a court case against me for slander, before I wrote an official apology, but I don't have the time for it. Therefore, since there might be a small chance that Dave was actually offended by my tongue-in-cheek (foot-in-mouth?) wisecrack, I will apologize now if he DID take my comment at all seriously. With all of the people who DID think my "parakeet/trailer park" jibes actually MEANT something, including Mike C and Roy C, reacting so strongly to the presumed attack of 4Poker (the several references to RGP were the strongest signs), and because he hasn't responded to any of my posts since then, I'm afraid that it MIGHT have been taken seriously by Dave. I thought that my initial comments were SO ridiculous as to be impossible to take seriously. I also thought that, both through my humorous replies and references immediately following the furor, as well as my history of silly comments made for fun (see the attack on me a few months ago, if it's still in the Archives) about others as well as myself, that it would be obvious that I was just jibing 4Poker. That obviously wasn't the case. Dave, I apologize if anything that I said offended you. I assumed you would automatically know that I was kidding. To the others that leapt to your defense- I apologize as well. I will try to keep my humor in check when I reply.... though I'll have a lot less fun in doing so. | Easy E, When I first came to the UPF, I couldn't believe how many people actually had such an interest in a game that I have chosen for my career........I was amazed to say the very least. I felt that maybe I could give some helpful and perhaps useful advice for anyone who was really interested enough in poker and wanted to learn even more. I wish when I was first starting out, that I could have come to a place like the UPF to get such valuable information. I'll admit......for as long as I have been playing poker professionally; and that has been for over ten years with much success.......I myself have learned alot from the people who post here......still do. This place is great, it really is. Now........while I still put in alot of hours in the poker rooms; I also like to come here to unwind (if you will), and participate in any way that I can. You have also done the same, and that's why we're here. The poker world can be a very brutal place and with many sad stories to tell as well. I've been fortunate enough to not have walked that path. Trust me, playing poker for a living is not easy, but it is my profession and I enjoy what I do, and I'm proud of what I do. I'm also one of the few that has lasted this far. Wasn't sure in the beginning, but I guess I got "lucky"! Now....."because" I am a professional poker player.......yes, I was offended by those remarks. Maybe that was silly on my part because what you said was so exaggerated to say the very least! But.....I do think my advice can be helpful, and none of us should ever think that we have learned all there is to learn, including myself and all the other poker players out there. That is what the UPF stands for....and "that" is how it should stay. A place to learn, give advice, and encouragement. Humor is also welcomed, when done in good taste! (A little "birdie" told me that)!! LOL! Your apology is accepted and appreciated. Thank-you. Case closed! Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. I will finally be heading back to New Jersey after being on the west coast for four months.......looking foward to it. Dave | ||

| I mean, I just wanted to be sure that 4Poker didn't get his ego all swollen up, with all of the screaming admirers. You know what happens- he starts getting cocky, starts posting in the third person ("Well, what 4Poker thinks is that 4Poker would raise half your stack here"), maybe demands COD for his words of wisdom.... starts adding posts on multiple forums, telling peons that s/he won't be posting a regularly-scheduled rant on television shows...... (ummm....) I was just performing a personal and public SERVICE! And Easy E thinks that such selfless efforts should be praised and rewarded! Otherwise, Easy E might not bless you heathens with Easy E's imcomparable logic and wit any more.... | ||

| Sredni Vashtar does this by speaking in 3rd person. Is he and 4poker related? Anyways if you talk in 3rd person you have to be the bomb. | ||
