How old are you because if you are over 18 but under 21 there are sites that you can still play at without getting in trouble.

Use your real name. You'll need to be able to cash a cheque when they send it out to you. No worries - it isn't like UB goes and checks this shizzit ... how could they anyway?

Use your real name, claim to be 21 and have fun.

Not a chance. They have better things to do that read all the posts here, flag some guy's name, then check and see if he's playing on their site, etc, etc. Anybody who thinks that everybody running an online poker site is doing that should check out my ebay auctions where I am selling some rather fashionable tinfoil hats :)

It is a great idea. Go for it. The worst thing that can happen is nothing at all.

Actually the worst thing that could happen is that all your winnings will be lost. If you lie about your age, that is fraud. They have no legal obligation to pay you your winnings, they might even hold your deposit.

Also, how are you going to make the deposit? You need some kind of banking account or credit card, both require 18 years of age. Would anyone here suggest that he lie about his age to open a bank account just to play poker? I hope not.

You other option is to have your parents open the account and make the deposit. But then again you run into ethical question of a parent allowing their underage son to gamble with their account.

1) No poker room with a good name would refuse to give you your money. They don't care how old you are and they don't want to know. They're not even based in the civilized world and countries like Nevis and St. Kits don't have laws about gambling at all. The sites will pay you for sure, so long as they are paying everybody else.

2) If you were ever a kid surfing porn and clicked "I'm 18" when you weren't, then you're just as guilty of fraud ... it is really nothing to worry about.

3) I had a credit card when I was 15, though my parents cosigned on it. Nonetheless, anybody can have a bank account at any age. Go to the bank and say, I want to open an account and put some money into it, and any back will be glad to have you. You won't get a line of credit and probably not even overdraught insurance, but all you need is an account.
