Hey all. Back from Vancouver where the lovely Wreny and I spent last week. Of course I was here on Monday, but I've been catching up so much that this is the first chance I've had to poker my nose back into UPF. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I see that I've been shelved in the Biographies to the bottom of the pile :( ... I'll live. I suppose I am less illuminated than the rest of the bios :)

As for a trip report, I will say this much. The 10-20 (kill) at the Great Canadian Casino at the Holliday Inn on Broadway in Vancouver is just such an amazingly amazing game. I don't think 2 BB / hour would be an impossible average there for any solidish player who has read a couple of books.

I hear that there is a good 6-12 Omaha game in Chinatown too ... will have to check it out next time I'm in town.

Thanks for the trip report. I've always been curious about the Vancouver poker scene. It seems to be a great 'poker town'.

I've seen posts from time to time about the Holiday Inn game and I think it's always been killer. There are poker rooms all over BC and I just know there's gotta be some awesome games in small towns most have never heard of. Now that would be an awesome road trip...

Yup. I was there in December and the game was just as good. And yes, there are a *LOT* of casinos in British Columbia, all of them very small, some having cardrooms and some not. I hear there is a good Omaha8 game in Kelowna ... if the entire city hasn't burned to the ground yet.
