I was delt AA w/ 5 people left in a B/M tourney. One Guy went all and I called even stacks. He Fliped QJs. Flop 10 4 2 rainbow. Turn J.
River Q. I was out of the tourney... I wasnt mad but i was disapointed. I just feel like it happens to everyone once in awhile.

Opinions welcome.

True. I *never* lose with 72o, though, except maybe a small or big blind now and then.

If you make the correct decisions on any hand, you never truly lose with it.

Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative. Somebody ought to write a song.

it happens with good beets and bad beets alike. The reason, beet juice emulsifies bile and relieves the liver. If you drink a few 16 oz glasses of fresh beet juice for a few days poop will happen. And don't be surprised is it is the color of purple. If it come the color of money leave the leafs out of the juicer. Be sure to mix in a few carrots with you beets. If you don't you might get some respiratory raspiness. Don't worry though its not permanent.

However be sure to use fresh beets because Bad beets will play hell with the digestive track.......

OH beAts!!!.......

Never mind.

It happens to everyone once in a while :-)...It is a good sign that it didn't affect you emotionally!

Obviously you made the right play and he was fortunate. And you are right to be disappointed and NOT angry. . .one of the things that continually amazes me is that players feel they "deserve" to win with AA. I have seen more cards thrown and expletives uttered because of aces cracked than any other situation in poker. If people would only remember that AA is only the best hand preflop; when cards start hitting the board, well. . .

I confess that I feel a tremendous amount of anxiety when I get AA because I know that I will have a tough time laying it down if it's appropriate. The primary reason players get angry at having aces cracked is that they keep firing chips into the pot even when they are beat.

I was in a 4/8 home game once, and as a table-rule, we had been chopping all night when everyone but the blinds folded. I was in the SB, Beavis was in the BB. Everyone else folded, so I said "Let's chop" and mucked my cards. He took back his bet, then wondered where the $2 was. He turned over AA.

Then he started whining about how everyone would play AA, and was just being a jerk to everyone, including the game host, who had taken my side that everyone was chopping all night. I finally just gave him $2 to shut him up.

Moral of the story: just because you have AA doesn't mean the game changes.

The first time you lay down AA, when you know it is beaten, is the most difficult. Laying it down gets easier the more you practice.

After writing this bad beat story. I went on Party and played in a single table tourny. it was heads up and i was delt. J 3o. I had Slightly more chips. He raised so i said what the hell and called. Flop came J 5 2 I went all in to try to scare him. well I also had top pair. he called turn came 3 and River 9. He had AA and I had a pair of J and 3... I just laughed and thought to my self that everything just went full circle.
