| Hi everyone on this forum. I participate semi-regularly at twoplustwo.com, which is Sklansky and Malmuth's web site. Anyway, we have little tournaments with each other at various sites. I was wondering if your frequent posters would be up for a challenge against some of our frequent posters. Buy in would probably be 20+2 or 30+3, something to that effect. We could run it at Pokerstars or TruePoker. True's CEO frequents our board and is very good to us. Individual players would win prizes as well as the winning team. Anyway, if you guys are interested reply to this message and then we can work out the details. I hope to start reading your board frequently and start participating here as well. Thanks. | ||

| And for those of us who won't be participating, once decided, could you please post time and place so we can watch and learn? Thanks! | ||

| If this was organized, I would probably play, but I don't like the idea of awarding "team" prizes, unless they are so goofy that no one will care much about winning them. Poker is an individual undertaking. Playing against people who you might not want to knock out would muck up all kinds of EV considerations. Lee | ||

For example, a UPF team composed of say Mike Caro, Roy Cooke,Barry T, Grant Pittman, and Mark Gregorich could be matched up against the top 5 from twoplustwo in 5 head to head matches. A win would be a team win and the match would be decided by the team with the most points ( wins ). There would be no ties. A second team of lesser know players/posters could compete on the same basis. This is the second post on this by a twoplustwo person. Other than a little money and bragging rights, what is the reason for this sudden interest.? With world/class players, this could be like an exhibition match and help posters at both sites, for one thing. anything to "fuel the boom "---gary

Hi mom-- this is the second post on this subject by someone from twoplustwo. It sounds like a good idea, but there was some hesitation about the motivation. I put a second replyt o your post regarding a possible format. Mike and Roy are responsible for this site, maybe they could be contacted by Mason or David fuel the boom----Gary

| your mom- I just visited twoplustwo.com,....the site is horrible, there are some links with the fonts of less than 6pts....maybe you can mention to whoever is in charge of the site to rebuy and build a new site.....I'm sure has some decent content but I will never know, since the site design is garbage..... | ||

| Actually, I like how we have a bunch of different forums for each topic. I like it better than this forum, but who cares? As for the tourney, I think one of you made a good point about not wanting to knock your own team members. I was thinking it could be a no limit tournament with maybe 20-30 from each team. Maybe we could keep score to declare a winner between you guys and us, but only award cash prizes to individuals. How does that sound? As for Mason and David getting involved, I don't really see that happening. Neither of them contribute a whole lot to the forum other than addressing direct questions to them or posting some occasional quizzes and hands to talk about. | ||
