| I like playing NL but the swings are rather more wild than in limit he I was wondering what is more profitable in the long run limit or nl ring games? | ||

| I haven't played NL cash games much, but what I do know about them is that the weak players have no chance to keep their money for very long. This is the main reason why NL ring games are few and far between - the luck factor just isn't high enough, and the good players bust the poor ones very quickly. Thus, I would speculate that if you can find a juicy NL game, and if you are a good player, you would figure to win more money than in a comparably sized limit game. Game selection is extremely important here, though. As for long term profit, you will need an abundance of new blood coming into a NL game to make the game worthwhile, otherwise only the better players will be left. In limit ring games, there seems to be a steady influx of new players, and the luck factor allows some of them to leave the game a winner, which helps encourage them to return. Mark | ||
