| I was playing 3-6 HE last night at my B&M. The joint was really jumping; 50 + tables and between 20 and 40 waiting for every spread. This kid (early 20s) comes and takes the seat to my right and announces to the table, "Hello everyone, the name of this game is Texas Hold'em. Get out your pads and pens, cause I'm gonna teach you how to play." I thought, "uh-oh, here comes a live one..." But he turned out to be a pretty nice guy. Personable, friendly and a good sense of humor. He then proceded to play almost every hand, and called all the way with catches like bottom pair and Ace-high. About an hour later, as I was dragging the last of his chips in a big pot, where I obviously had the nut flush, and he showed down 2nd pair, I asked him, "Am I doing it right?" with a wink. Like I said, he was really a nice guy, and laughed along with me and the rest of the table. He bought in for another $100 and lost that, too. | Mozzie: Thanks for sharing. It's no wonder that TV is the most powerful medium on the planet. The recent TV blitz of the WPT and WSOP has recruited a lot of wannabe's who see amazing (though edited down) action and feel like they can do it too. The B&M sites are filling up with newbies and it's great for all of those people that have already paid for their education at the school of hard knocks. Heading down to the TROP in A/C tommorrow morning for a day of action. They are giving a car away at 2pm for Poker Room participants. Hoping to see the usual roles of new people cutting thier teeth on the 2-4 table. Hopefully, I will win that Saturn RV. Thanks for sharing your story about the minnow who swam into your cross hairs. e-babes | ||

| Funny stuff Moz, and good for you!. I really think this "TV exposure" to poker is phenomenal, I really do! I hope everyone was nice to this guy as well.......you really do want more of these "types" at your table, 'cause they want to feel welcomed when they play. 4P- | ||
