| Side Pot Prob ------------------- ;) I got one more question in side pot to bother u again. Perhapos the last one of this kind :P. Thanks anyway for ur support for making me understand the poker house rules in a better way. Case: Based on the solution provided to me earlier in the same forum where i asked how to subtract rake amount for multiple pots in a texas game I have one more possibility here $0.25 rake amount is taken from the pot /side pot for every $5 with a maximum limit of $1. There is a main pot of $7 and a side pot of 4$. Which is the right method to solve Rake deduction here? Method 1: As there is one pot of $7 (>$5) then we took $0.25 from the first pot and nothing from second pot !! Method 2: But if we see there is a total bet amount of $11 ($7 + $4) where we perhaps may ask for $0.50 rake amount from total bet amount. If this method applies then from which pot/s we have to deduct $0.50? Which is right approach? | ||

| my understanding is that you rake as you go along. The rake schedule is a cumulative total and is taken from the active pot. So the main pot got an initial rake of $.25 when it hit $5 and the side pot gets a rake when the total bets equals $10 (when there was $3 in the side pot). Dealers correct me if i'm wrong. | ||
