If you have pocket Aces and make a big bet (no limit) preflop how should you bet if at all if the flop is something like Kh Jh 4s? or say the flop is 6s 2s 9h. Let's say a couple of people called your 1st bet.
Thanks!

Hey Brian,

There will be several factors when deciding what approach may be the more accuarate choice, and that decision you make at that time may very well be a different decision for the next time you hold the very same hand. Again, it "depends".

Some of the factors you'll need to consider will be:

how many opponents are in the hand with you?........How well do you know their tendencies (if at all)?............how are you being perceived at that stage in the game?.........what is your chip count?.........what is their chip count?........what's your position with the hand?...........how well can you read your opponents?..........is the board too coordinated where your own holding may be in danger now?.......what does the flop read exactly, because with a very big bet preflop, certain boards may be more favorable for A-A than others. That is one of the reasons that I nor anyone else could possibly give you one correct answer to your question. It really does depend on too many factors.

But you have to take everything into consideration before you do make that "exact bet amount", raise, re-raise, etc.... and sometimes.......even your best decision will not win you the pot, because alot will also depend on the opponents that are in the hand with you. Are they very skilled players? Are they reading you incorrectly? Are you betting an amount that it is now correct/incorrect for them to call based on the size of the pot vs. their own holding potential; (implied odds......, etc. etc. )?...........

Only "you" can do what the best thing that "you" think is the right approach to take on the hand when taking everything into factor .......and let the chips fall where they may.

My general strategy on hands like that is to check/raise in early position when faced with a small bet and bet the pot if I get checked to in late position. If raised get out. If called be cautious.

How worried should one be about the flush draw? Would you want to bet enough post-flop to try and get rid of someone off a flush draw or would a flush draw still stay in the game no matter what?
