I would like to know if anyone else would have played this hand differently and if so, how:
Thank you
(this is the third round of the tourney and only the 2nd hand I played, the other one also being KK, which I showed, so my image should have been TIGHT to anyone who pays attention to that)

That's a tough one. The really amazing part is that he called your big preflip raise with Tc7c, a very marginal hand. When he pushes all-in, you've got to ask, did he just make trips (probably jacks)? or is he on a draw?

If he's on a draw (either a straight or a flush draw), you're a favorite, so should should call. If he's on a 2-way draw (open-end straight and flush, which would require him to hold 6c7c), he's a favorite...but not by much. With your chip lead, it's not a bad gamble to call anyway.

So can you put him on trips? Tough. Calling a big raise with pocket JJ is probably a good move, so it's possible. But that's a super-tough read. You can't go through life wondering if someone just made trips...

yeah, I'd call.

...And remember. When you pushed your money into the pot, you were the favorite (though probably not by a huge margin). He hit runner-runner to make his straight. Just lucky on his part.

I wouldn't have played it any different. If he was willing to go all-in chasing a flush, there's not much else you could do.

He lucked out big time, He also made a horrible play in calling your pre-flop bet, hes out of position, has less chips than you, should have known you were a tight player so you must have had something. Anyway I play it the same probably thinking he had AJ or something.

To be honest, his previous play had been so bad, I didn't even give him credit for AJ, Ihad him on QJ or TJ, AT BEST

Once he saw the flop, his all in wasn't wretched. He had a gutshot and a flush draw, putting him at 13 outs, which is only a bit worse than even money to make it by the river. His call before the flop was pretty bad though. I think your preflop raise was just about the perfect amount. A third of his stack is enough to make most people fold without a premium hand, and if he calls, he will probably be more inclined to play it through with a weaker hand. In fact, it worked out, and he did play it through with a weaker hand, he just happened to catch. It's a tough break, but I think your play was just fine.

I can somewhat understand his post flop all in but I can't figure out why in the hell he called your preflop bet. What a maniac.
