| You failed to mention how many chips you had and if you were a short medium or large stack. You should have raised more preflop, 600 would be appropriate. Then you should have bet more on the flop. With 2000+ in the pot, 600 is too little with a 2 flush on board. Other than that, I'd say it's a function of your opponent who raised. What was your read? Lee | ||

| I agree w/ Schuster, that you should have raised more preflop. This makes it a much harder choice for those marginal hands to stay in, and if they do they are making a big mistake. With that small of a raise, almost anyone who has limped in is right to call the raise. That small bet on the flop also looks weak, and again gives anyone on a draw the rights odds to stay in. Your raises should not just be designed to knock people out, but to punish the ones who decide to call. (you want to put them in a position to make the wrong decision) Your raising, but the small amounts make them correct to call. (and potentially out draw you.) I am guessing the raiser on the flop was on a draw and ended up making it? Just a shot in the dark... Lee | ||

| Well, thks for inputs. the raiser had JJ which i was dead. I knew he had better than me but folding aces on a flop like that was the cost of getting knocked out. also i had 7000 in chips which the raiser had 8k. And it was average for the tourney at that time. tks for input | ||
