| Anyone playing in September? I'm thinking of playing Friday night this time. Doesn't a 9PM EST really make you think that there would be few Euros and mostly West Coast players? I've chipped up this time, but still have a few more to get. The single table tourneys have been nice to me lately. | ||

| I'll be giving it a go. I'm curious if anyone here has played it. How tough is it? How high do you need to place to win the buy in for the cruise? | ||

| I played in it a few months ago. There are a few more that admitted it as well. It's a very big tournament, over 1200 the day I played. It should last no less than 5 hours, but more likely 6, and up to 9. The first obstacle I'm overcoming is the starting chip count. With only 1000 chips, you're already at a disadvantage. (I decided to play anyway to get a feel for the size of it all) However, in terms of talent, I didn't see anything too perilous, but then again, I only lasted into the 3rd hour with my chip count issues. They take 1 out of every 50 entrants to the cruise. I'm not sure they have the lobby set up, or you could see how many are signed up for each day. | ||

| I played in all 3 semi's in July...I got my chips topped up as high as possible....big edge ...or needed to play even...I did well placing top 25 on both friday and sunday and earning 2 cruise packages....I play pretty solid and aggressive...but attribute both victories to some well timed good fortune....the most unusual part is the on the bubble play...25th e.g. gets a $9000 package....26 gets ZERO....i threw away a hand I never would have ever...jj in late position to avoid a confrontation.....has this unusual bubble play been mentioned before on this board?....keeping in mind 1st is as good as 25 | ||

| My table started with a pretty good mix of 1000, 3000, and anything in between. For instance, I have 1500 extra right now, so I'd start with 2500 if I quit today. Don't expect to be sitting with all 3000 stacks. If you do, just look at it as more chips for you to win. Remember: The glass is neither half full, nor half empty, it's just too damn tall. Also, since they take multiples of 50 to the cruise..................if there are 1299, then they'll take 25 players and the rest goes like this....49 extra players x $180 entry fee = $ 8820 which is paid off 50%, 30%, 20% to numbers 26,27, and 28. I do remember seeing that one of the July semi-finals was an even multiple of 50, so Coach is right, the cruise went to # 25 (assuming 1250 entrants), and #26 got 2 months of regret before trying again. | ||

| I didn't realize I was earning more chips with SNG wins. I probably have a grand in extra chips. I need to check my account when I get home. Congrats Coach, nice job. | ||

| I just checked. I've got 800, cool. I need to try and squeeze out a few more wins before the semis. I just realize that the semis are Limit Hold'em! That really blows. I hate limit. It says they may change that and add additional games. Have they added NL or PL in the past? | ||

| after multiples of 50 they then award cash...which they did on those 3 semis.... I would be surprised/shocked if they switched type of game...too many people already aware it is limit....only tourney on wpt that is limit I believe | ||

| I'm signed up to play on Saturday but I might go on Sunday instead. Friday is just too damn late considering the last tourney's lasted 8 hours. Right now I have 2600 chips but have a week to get the last four hundred. Here's hoping! beigs | ||
