| I feel that being a younger player only strengthens ones chances at the table. I know that I am one of the youngest on here at age 18, but I have been playing poker since I was 8 and holdem since the movie ROUNDERS. I cannot find games to play in this area and me and my friends no longer have poker night because I just take their money. I obviously cannot wait to turn 21, but until then will keep making more money online playing then I am at my part time job. Poker is a battle of wit, skill, intellect, mental toughness and other factors. Age is definately not one of them. Just ask the 89' champ Phil Hellmuth, he won the series at age 24. | ||

| You aren't the youngest one on here... I am 18 as well... I agree that I can't wait to turn 21, and I see age as both an advantage and disadvantage, depending on the player... Age is a DEFINATE advantage in the way that if you are young you are underestimated at the table, and people try to bully you, which I love because I will take their money as if they were the same age... Age can be a disadvantage, however, just due to a lack of experience... you can read the books and play online, but you just don't have the poker experience that 10-20 year veterans have. | ||

| heh, A friend of mine let a 15 year old into his home game to play. He figured, Easy money, At the end of the night the 15 year old was up 30 bucks, making more than any of them with only 1 other person on the positive side, lol... | ||
