| What are my chances of ending up with a straight assuming I stay in for all five flop cards with these four hands: TJ, TQ, TK, TA? Thanks | ||

Thanks Here is the results of a quicky 1 million trial simulation for JTo. All straights are counted, even those that didn't involve the two hole cards. The simulation was set up as a headsup match in which the SB called the BB and both players checking it down. One player was assigned JhTd and the other was dealt a random hand. Against the random hand, the JTo won 52.7604% of the trials. Out of the 527604 winning trials, the player holding JTo had 88031 straights, 17110 flushes, 21294 full houses, 1180 quads, 137 straight flushes and 50 royal flushes. Out of the 472396 non-winning trials, the player holding JTo had 3803 straights. So, the JTo, in this simulation of 1 million trials, made 91834 straights. Remember this would include straight in which the JTo didn't play. (In any straight in which JTo would play, both cards would play. This isn't true of the other combinations.) 9.1834% of the time. I have no simple way to cull the straights that didn't use the JTo or in which there is no second player. An exhastive answer would evalute JTo against all flop combinations, evalute all made hands and eliminate all straights that used a 2,3,4,5 or 6. Your milage may vary.
