| Hi I posted this at the twoplustwo.com pokerforum, see we have challenged other sites before, and it is fun with some (friendly) Rivalry. 'For another site to challenge, maybe unitedpokerforum.com, They seem like a close knit little group, but somewhat whiny, so would like to teach them a lesson maybe they will muster Roy Cooke and Mike Caro if we play them at Planet , that would have been cool, with lets say a 30$ buyin where half goes to regular prizes and other half goes from losing team to winning team (so if you are on the winning team you lose nothing even if you finish last ' So tell me folks, Do you feel Lucky?! Well.... Do you .... | ||

| How is the winning side determined? Team of the first place finisher? Or some average of the places of all team members? I'd be up for the challenge (Depending on who showed up from the UPF side of course ;-] ) | ||

| I'm in. It will be very interesting to see how it works out though with 10 players at a table and you only wanting to go all in against 5 of them. | ||

| Team poker!! Maybe you guys can start a new version of a great game!! That would be cool to watch though... I'd love to see our top 5 guys on a table with their 5 top guys. Count me in for colour (that's for chase and stdioh) commentary!! :-) TKarrde "The next best thing to playing and winning, is playing and losing." | ||

| Well, it would be individual AND team poker, because getting your money back is not what you really want is it? So I suggest making first prize maybe 50% of the remaining prizemoney, and a point system 1/3/5/7/9/11/13 etc (where player places 10 out of 20 gets 1 point, 9th 3 points etc) to the top 50% of the players add it up and highest pointteam wins the team competition. If Roy Cooke plays on your team, then I'll place a bounty of the buyin on myself, to be collected by the UPF player who beats me out of the tourney (if any :) So let me know how many players your team can muster, and remember planet has a 25% deposit bonus for new players. | ||

| There's so much to consider here, it seems to take away from the game itself. I'm sure if you just took your 10 playes to a multi-table tournament and went at it (like we did at Planet), you could make a lot more money than just pitting 10 against 10. There's so much strategy in a team game, and in this "friends-until-we-meet" game that we've chosen to play, I don't see it working out. Good Luck Geirel | ||

| I'd be interested, but would much prefer if we didn't have any of this team business. The EV considerations would be all out of whack when playing pots against people on your team. Poker isn't a team sport (unless you want to do some sort of heads up challenge). Why not just for the friendly rivalry and fun of it? Lee | ||

| Good Idea Schuster, I was having 2nd thought about the team prizes myself. How about we get lets say 15 players from each site, then play a 30 player tournament at planet where you guys currently have the highest ranked tourney player 'beigs' If you guys get Mike or Roy to play I would love it :) Top half of the players get points as I stated before, maybe we can get planet to give some stuff to the winner? I have written them an email. 30$ buyin sound ok? | ||

| Yeah I'd play. Not sure if Roy and Mike would be interested or not, they'd have to answer for themselves. Also I think that the folks here would prefer UB as that is the host for our in house tournaments. They have been very cordial and helpful since they started. We tried once with planet and it did not work out so well. Lee | ||
