| My wife decided a couple weeks ago that she wanted to play one of the Sit and Gos that I am always playing on UB. She has watched poker on TV quite a bit and has enough understanding of the game to sit down. So after getting into the money (top 3) of a SnG I let her take over. I don't even know what she did as I was bathing the kids. But she ended up in 2nd which I thought was cool. A few days later she wanted to play a SnG. So i got signed on and let her go (for points of course). I was watching TV in the same room and would offer advice every once in awhile. Usually in the form of options... "I'd either do X or Y." With some patience she ended up in 2nd place. Not bad I thought. The next week she got on again. Same format. She ended getting down to two people. And procedeed to tear this guy a new one heads-up. Even after being down 3:1. I was impressed. So a bunch of us have a NL Tourney this past weekend. Of course the wife has to go along. She did okay considering she had a bit to drink (now give her a break guys, we have three little kids and she doesn't get to cut up much). I think she busted out about in the middle of the pack. She said she wasn't getting any cards. But she loved the experience. And then... today. While I am at work she gives me a call. She only had to work half day today. She got on UB by herself. And I guess the points tables are non-existent now so she jumps on a 6 Player $5 SnG. Only to find out that it is NOT No Limit. She has ONLY played NL. She said she grabbed 2nd place. Needless to say I was floored. She had no one to ask advice to. Played it all on her own. I was impressed. So now I guess we will have to fight over the computer!! :-) So if if you say hi to TK on UB and the response is "Who are you?" Just introuduce yourself to Mrs. TK!! TKarrde | ||

| Of course, if she wins enough she buys her own. Then she REALLY wins, gets on WSOP and leaves you with the kids.....:-) | ||

| I snowboard and have to say that their is nothing sexier than female snowboarders... I can imagine how you feel about your wife playing the game you love... ;) | ||

| I second ez's observation on female snowboarders. Been boarding for a while now and just love the ladies wearing their snowboard gear with their hair in pig-tails. | ||

| Having my wife interested is quite fun. But dang it, she's wanting to cut into my Poker time! Even worse, I told her the guys wanted to go to the boat (casino) and she told me that SHE would go along with them and I could stay home with the kids. | Wow TK, you are a lucky guy. Let me just say that my wife absolutely rules. Wouldn't trade her for anything, best girl in the world. But I have been completely unsuccessful trying to interest her in football, golf or (especially) poker. Despite that she still manages to be quite an amusing companion. But anyway, congrats on getting her involved. Should be great for your relationship (until she starts critiquing your play :)). Anyway, I am green with envy. MR | ||
