| Another example of how having the best hand is not the best money making hand. Hold 'Em 3/6. Jc10c, no raise pre-flop. Everyone folds except for the big blind. Ac, Qc, Kc on the flop. He checks, I check, hoping he's got clubs or Aces or ANYTHING. He says "I have absolutely NOTHING" and a blank hits the turn and river. I have to bet. He folds. I show my hand and I get a tee shirt. | ||

| Pretty close to the same thing happened to me at Foxwoods a couple of months ago only mine was KQ clubs and flopped the Royal. I got a windbreaker jacket in the middle of the summer.....haven't even worn it yet. 2-4 Game and the pot was $12....At least I got one caller for $4 on the river. Guinnessman | ||

| Same thing happened to me in a stud 8 game. I raise with split Aces/w a high card and get one caller. I back into a royal on the river....looks like he hits his low on 5.....he's betting, I'm just calling here now, but on the river a few raises go in, and whoopie.......we get to take our money back.....oh yeah, and chop up the antes. I did get a hat though.........big deal, where's the freakin' money? | ||

Did get to hear a funny story about a guy hitting one at the Mirage and when he asked the dealer about a premium he was told that there was none. Later, the same dealer came by the table and said, "Congratulations on your royal flush, here is a Mirage lighter. " Then he handed the guy a pack of Mirage matches. | I caught a K-high str8-flush at the Luxor and picked up a $50 highhand bonus. They pay out $100 for a Royal, and $20 for 4-of-a-kind. (Caught one of those too that nite). The only requirement is that you use both hole cards, of course. Made my profit for a 2/4 game pretty good :-) | ||

| I got a ticket for an entry for some baseball tickets. Of course my ticket did not draw. I'll take a tee-shirt any day. But then again I am not sure I want to be a walking billboard for that casio. Maybe you can use it to wax your car. :-) | ||
