I was wondering if anyone can look at this play below and comment on what they think. It was my second hand at this table but it struck me as so odd that it threw up a red flag on the play of two individuals.

I want to be clear that suspecting players of colluding is the last thing I would ever think and just usually assume that strange plays are the "rub of the felt" in low limits hold'em. The players in question were in 3rd EP and 1st MP

Preflop - UTG, 3rd EP, 1st MP call. I'm in LP and I call with pocket 5's, button calls, SB completes, BB checks. So 7 are in for the flop.

Flop- (2h, Ks, 6s) - checked to 3rd EP who leads, 1st MP raises, folded to me. I fold the pair figuring I'm pretty dead here. Rest of the table folds to 3rd EP who calls. 2 are in for the turn

Turn - (Jc) - 3rd EP checks, on a flush draw apparently though it is a little strange that he lead in with a ton of player to play after him in a low limits game. 1st MP leads, EP calls. 2 are still in for the river

River - (Kd) - Both player check. This caught me a little of guard as I can understand that EP missed the flush but I would think MP had to have something that would be worth a bet to make the drawer pay.

Showdown - EP shows 3s-7s for a pair of Kings 7 kicker (ok he missed the draw....no big deal though it was a terrible play to begin with).

MP shows 9-7o for a pair of Kings 9 kicker and pickes up the pot........WHAT THE!!!! you mean to tell me that my pockets were good!!!

2 hands later both of these players left the table within 2 seconds of one another.

Do you think they we talking to each other and EP told MP to raise the pot cause he had a weak 4 flush and he would have a better chance to fold everyone if there was a 2 bet on the table? Can one guy play 2 different players on the same computer? am I just a little paraniod? Am I the only one that thinks this smell fishy? Is this something I should forward to a floorperson or should I let it rest unless I see there two players playing together again?

Hmmmm.... I would say that it does look a little fishy and I probably would say something to the floor person to bring the possibility to their attention for investigation. They can look into it and, if there is no evidence of them colluding, great. It was just two awful players. If they were colluding, then you may be saving other players from cheating.

The fact is that there are some people out there colluding, but it's probably not as rampant as most people think. Also, most people here don't seem to worry about it too much because it doesn't improve the cheaters cards, those that cheat tend to be worse players anyway, and good players won't be hurt so much by the colluders actions, so I wouldn't get too paranoid and quit playing online for this reason, but if you can stop a couple guys from cheating by saying something to the floorperson, then by all means do. The more integrity in the game, the better.

Thanks for your response. I agree with your post. If i see the two names together again and the play looks odd I will get the attention of a floor person.
