| In David Skalanskys (5 bucks says i spelled that wrong) article "a no limit semi bluff" he discusses the math needed and involved with no limit, and not just feel. He goes on to explain the probability of getting the call and expecation of moving in verse calling verse folding. My question is at the highest levels of poker is it a necessity to perform this kind of math at the table often? Because i am certain i could not do this all in my head at the table. | ||

| No. It is necessary to understand the math, to be able to do it at home, to learn what the correct play is based on the math, and then in the wild to apply that math without working it out then and there. Sometimes you need to approximate a little bit and the better you get the more often you'll do the right thing in a borderline situation. The players who do the right thing in the borderline situations are winning players and the ones who don't are suckers...in the long run. | ||

| Ah thanks a lot for the reassurance, cause i knew if you had to be able to do that at the table to be a great player then i'd be good at best. | ||
