| If you had to make $100 or die, and you could only use $100 to make the extra $100, and your only choices to make that extra $100 were a random Texas Hold-Em $3/$6 game or a random single or double deck BlackJack game, which would you choose and why? | ||

| I can count cards too, but I'd take a poker game any day, hands down. $100 is not enough to beat a BJ game unless you just get lucky, especially since it's very hard to find a BJ table under $5 minimum. | ||

| If I had to make a life or death decision I'd go with the poker. At least that way I would be able to control my own destiny more so than I could at a Blackjack table, which is even more of a crapshoot. The other poker players might also be sympathetic when I make a river bluff and say "You know if I don't make $100 they're going to kill me, do you really want me to die?" | ||

| That depends on a lot on the limit spread at the blackjack table! Lee | ||

| I don't know.......that's a pretty morbid question to even have to think about it! But if I had to chose and my opponents were not going to give me any sympathy about my "dilemma" (if you will).......I might go with Blackjack! I can't believe I'm actually saying that but I'd rather get it over with as quick as possible! (But of course I'd scope out the table first)! I would probably make one bet for the 100 bucks....win or lose. C'est la vie! | ||

| Hi Robbins $3-6 hold'em and it is not close.....The edge you have on your money is HUGELY better in hold'em over blackjack....I am assuming you are an expert in both! Roy Cooke on 12. | poker is a game of skill... no edge is given to anyone... blackjack gives the house an edge (and can be argued whether it is a game of skill or memorization)... obviously, i pick poker. | ||

| It depends, how would you die: quick and painlessly or slow painful death? | ||

| I would take the blackjack game and sit there not playing and waiting for the single deck to get extremely hot. I would make bets of the smallest limit they allowed. I would only play when the deck was extremely favourable. If I could only make a $100 bet on the blackjack then I would definitely take the poker game, since when you lose the ability to split and double down, you lose the edge entirely. Thus without adequate money behind you, blackjack is a loser's game. One of the worst feelings in the world is having a super hot shoe, a $500 limit spot to bet on and only $1000 in your pocket. Even with the hot deck it is unprofitable to put $500 into the circle because if you end up splitting it you lose the ability to resplit and double down and that alone costs you your edge. Come to think of it, if I could get a policy that only lasted 1 day, I'd spend the $100 on a massive life insurance policy and then run for the door :) | ||

| Yeah, but would anybody really sell somebody a 1 day life insurance policy? If I were an insurance company I'd offer it to you, but only postdated a year and it would preclude suspicious death :) | ||
