This Sat. I played at Canterbury Park in Mn. Using Sklanskys hand selection for Holdem and Helmuths aggresive strategy, I won $550.00 in 12 hrs in a 3-6 limit game. Don't know if it was all luck, but it sure was fun. Plan on trying the same combo next time. Does anyone have any suggestions on combining the two styles? I got out of line once, played 10 J suited out of position and paid the price. EasyE still my hero

Can't say, don't know what Phil is promoting in his book. I'd say blind that you should be careful about being TOO aggressive.

Okay, now I'm starting to question your decision-making logic!

It was all luck. Any single session can be called entirely luck. Now you may have been beating the game for $10/hour and had an amazingly high EV of $120 so that you were very likely to come between -1880 and +2120 ... the fact that you made over $500 is good fortune. If you had lost $400 that would have been bad fortune. Don't think you can repeat such an amazing win rate indefinitely for as good as you may be, I guarantee that it is impossible to do so in the long run.

stdioh it was the best table I have ever played to date. 3 to 5 callers all the way, no one cared that I played few hands. They paid me off all day. All I did was play tight and when I had a hand I played it fast.

I'm sure it was great, but there is no table that you can beat that well consistently. It is a mathematical certainty. Sometimes you go to a table like that and they just slaughter you. Sometimes you get no hands to play and get blinded away like a rock.

have you ever played in their Thursday tournament the $45+10 with $45 rebuy? I have thought about it but haven't made it out there for one yet.

Johnny I play in The Thursday To. regularly ,it's fun but you have to be lucky. The blinds are raised every 20 min.
