| My friend and I are having a bit of a disagreement. I claim that Phil Ivey does not wear glasses _most_ (the majority) of the time if ever. Hence his reputation for his darting eyes. My friend claims Phil Ivey wears glasses most of the time. Since we can only watch so much of the WSOP and WPT, could we get some opinions? Thanks! | ||

| The only times I've seen him, it's been on tv, but he didn't wear glasses during any of his world poker tour appearances, but did during the WSOP on ESPN. Lee | ||

| Colin, You are correct. For the most part, Phil Ivey does not wear sunglasses at the table. Maybe in the future he will.......and you might see more of that in tournament play but......... Most of his poker playing is in cash games (ring games), and in all the years that I have watched him play, he has never worn a pair of sunglasses at the table. 4 POKER | ||

| What do you guys think about shade and ballcaps pulled down to cover an opponent's eyes? I don't think much about it when I see it on tv or at higher limits tables or big tournements. It obviously helps in covering up tells and all that. But I get good laugh when I'm sitting at a low limits 2/4 ring game and some college kid walks up to the table in shades and a baseball cap pulled down to his nose and a pocket full of lunch money. The first thing I do when I see one of these guys walk up is stack my chips a little taller so I can make room for his lunch money. I had one kid sitting next to me hiding his face with a ball cap but every time he had a decent hand he would ruffle the back of his chips with his thumb....Maybe he should have worn mittens instead. | ||

| We call it 10-20 gear. At Brantford none of the 5-10 players are even worried about tells so no hats and glasses. At the 10-20, the players all wear them. At the 20-40 and up, the players against aren't wearing them because they have control of themselves and don't feel the need for them. I always wear a hat when I go, but I ditched the sunglasses some time ago. Maybe when I am ready to start playing the 20-40 and 30-60 all the time I'll ditch the hat. | ||
