| I've entered several hold'em tourneys and seem to have a problem when I get moved to a new table. Many times, I've been the chip leader at my table, the table is broken up,(during the elimination to the final table) and then I proceed to suck. I can't get a handle on what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? | ||

| If it is continuous, you are probably not adjusting to the new players correctly.......I would play more to the tight side until I get a feel of what is happening at the new table! Roy Cooke on 11. | Indeed. I try to avoid playing anything but really great hands until I know who the fish are at the new table and get a feel for the way my opponents play. Of course if you get moved with a short stack in a desperate position you don't have this luxury and if things are really at ram and jam time you can't sit around for 20 hands without playing. | ||

| Hi. One possibility is that you are not adjusting to the new chip reality. When you were chip leader at your table, you got a lot of respect. Now, when moved, usually a lot of people have a lot of chips, and some of your moves no longer work. Of course, this could also have nothing to do with your issue. I have seen it affect others. | you could be up against a greater concentration of better players? (survival of the fittest and all) you could be making strategy plays at the table that you're "known" at, that you are unconsciously making at the new table, where the factors involved are NOT "known" to your opponents? Can you give the guessers here any more information about your perception of play, or what has happened in the past, or something else? | ||

| My play has evolved into a tight/aggresive style..Early in the session,(when a loss isn't criticle) I like to raise with garbage and let everybody think I'm a weak player. When I do have a good hand, I get more callers and the pots are bigger. RE: The new table problem, Twice I've been lucky enough to be seated at the table that will eventually become the last table. I've made to the final table both those times, yet when I have to move..I'm toast. | ||

Well, that still isn't enough information, because unless the final table is populated with mostly the people you have been building this image with, it doesn't do you much good at the end. Any examples of how you are getting beaten, or what hands you've faced? Chip stack ratios? etc? | ||
