The two online sites that Easy E recommends (the one in the body of his message is spelled differently, using club instead of store) enjoy strong reputations for customer satisfaction and integrity. You would do well to follow his advice on this. Go to those (www.gamblersbookclub.com will have a broader selection for books like you're seeking) and check it out.

(There actually IS a Gambler's Book Store, BTW, but the link provided is not active. Gambler's Book Club -- aka, Gambler's Book Shop, just to add to the confusion -- is on 11th Street in Las Vegas and has the largest selection of gambling books. I think their whole catalog is online at www.gamblersbookclub.com.)

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

You probably mean Titanic Thompson.

You also might want to read Positively Fifth Street by Jim McManus (reading it now and it's rather good) or Amarillo Slim in a World Full of Fat People by Amarillo Slim Preston which was also a great read.

Total Poker by David Spanier is really good it just full of little stories all to do with poker like how Steve McQueens hand in the Cinicinati Kid just wouldnt have played that way in real life it had a chapter on the life of ' Puggy ' Pearson and whole lot of other really quality bits and pieces.

It is light hearted reading and it wont improve your game much but it is the best 'non' poker book i have ever read and i really rate it very highly !!
